Mother-lab is a collaborative, practice-led research environment that facilitates co-creative exploration with my children. Framed as an experimental workshop space, Mother-lab examines the process of mothering not as a barrier to artistic production, but as a generative force that catalyses creativity. The project investigates the intersection of caregiving and artistic practice, exploring how these roles intertwine, inform, and transform one another. The work reconceptualises caregiving as both a methodological framework and a site of critical inquiry. Through playful, materially engaged processes, Mother-lab contributes to contemporary discourse on the politics of care, creativity in domestic contexts, and the possibilities of collaborative authorship between adult and child.
